After the war his neighbours and
friends collected
money and raised a
memorial stone.
This stone is now
placed above Hjorteland.
About 2000 people met for the unveiling of the stone in 1946.
The text on the stone reads:
Georg Fjellberg
1908 – 1941
Sentenced to death and shot
by the germans December 29 1941.
It is the greatness and the wisdom
that the mark is there
though the man
is gone.
